The Power of a Sunflower

April 30, 2018

The sunflower is the official flower of Black Girl On Campus. I'm not sure what other businesses have an "official flower" but I absolutely love sunflowers so much so that they have become a part of the BGOC brand.

Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity. Much of the meaning of sunflowers stems from its namesake, the sun itself. These flowers are unique in that they have the ability to provide energy in the form of nourishment and vibrancy—attributes which mirror the sun and the energy provided by its heat and light.

Sunflowers are known for being “happy” flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone's day...

Which make them the perfect flower to announce a
BGOC FREEBIE as they are my gift to you that I hope you find useful and make getting a handle on your daughter's college prep journey a little more manageable.

So, whenever I post a sunflower 🌻click here to get the latest digital downloads available in the BGOC library! There are tons of items there that will help you and your daughter alleviate the stress and overwhelm of essay writing, school searches, interviewing and the list of things to manage on the path to college!

So get to downloading and drop me a line and let me know what else you need to know about college prep!  👩🏾‍🎓📚🌻
